About the group...

This digital music ensemble plays everything from Monteverdi to Messiaen, from Frescobaldi to fusion, using digital keyboard, wind and percussion instruments. All performances are live, i.e. no sequencing or prerecorded music. After their first season they have received nothing but rave reviews and are in the process of recording their first CD. The director, Dr. James Nissen, is a professor of Humanities at Schoolcraft Community College in Livonia, MI and on the music faculty at the University of Michigan in Dearborn.

Last year the group performed at Schoolcraft College, Concordia College, and the Henry Ford Estate at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The Ann Arbor Digital Music Ensemble is listed in the Michigan Council for the Arts Traveling Artists Guide.
